New Zealand test seris reports coming soon, I'll be at the 2nd at Lord's!

Well, Nasser Hussain has been awarded the England captaincy. There is nothing wrong there except the more practical alternative would have been Mark Ramprakash. He proved his worth during the 1998/99 Ashes. He is intelligent and watching him bat is a treat because he can really graft or hold an innings together. He is also a useful off spinner who turned more on the Adelaide pitch last year than Peter Such! E-mail me and say who YOU thought should have replaced Stewart (address below). Now the captaincy controversy is out of the way I feel it is in the ECB's best interests to refine those responsible for selection. Botham and Gower are obvious alternatives as selectors.

Test series, England '99. Build-up news.
Darren Gough, England's main strike bowler will miss the first and probably the second tests through injury. Nasser Hussain replaces Alec Stewart as the new England captain. Duncan Fletcher now coaches in Lloyd's place. THE FIREWORKS ARE HOTTING UP! Sir Richard has had the first off-field sledge by backing New Zealand to whitewash England. He claims New Zealand will take their record of only two tests won in England, to six wins! Daring words from one of the greatest ever players!

Comments for today, June 24th 1999.
I know, only five days ago the world cup was at it's height. Now it seems but a distant memory. But for those with withdrawal symptoms can E-mail me with their world cup favourite moments or dream eleven. I shall give the results of the favourite eleven and top player in a couple of weeks if enough people poll. MY E-MAIL ADDRESS IS BELOW.
